What will be the state of the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection?

Praise be to Allaah.
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Allah The Almighty describes the state of the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection in many verses in His Book (i.e. The Quran). Some of these verses describe their resurrection. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised.} [Quran 70:43-44]. Allah The Almighty tells us that they will emerge very rapidly from their graves as if they will be rushing towards something that would bring them joy. However, that Day they will not rush joyfully or in pride; rather they will be humiliated and looking down. Allah The Almighty also Says (what means):
⦁ {So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding, their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading, racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day.”} [Quran 54:6-8]
⦁ {And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten. They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."} [Quran 36:51-52]
⦁ {And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.}[Quran 40:18]
⦁ {[It will be] on the Day the earth will be replaced by another earth, and the heavens [as well], and all creatures will come out before Allah, the One, the Prevailing. And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles, their garments of liquid pitch and their faces covered by the Fire.} [Quran 14: 48-50]
On that Day they will wish that Allah The Almighty would destroy them and turn them into dust. Allah The Almighty Says (what means):
⦁ {That Day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish they could be covered by the earth. And they will not conceal from Allah a [single] statement.} [Quran 4:42]
⦁ {On the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"} [Quran 78: 40]
On the authority of Anas ibn Malik the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that the disbeliever will be gathered (walking) on his face on the Day of Resurrection. [Al-Bukhari]
